Fit for purpose

Longevity is a principal aim of Venue Tables. Making products that will last not only makes financial sense, but also reduces the environmental impact of manufacturing the product in the first place. Taking a very simple and efficient approach to the design ensures Venue Tables have an enduring quality, designed to last. Venue Tables are well designed, well made and fit for purpose.

It is a reality of trade that markets are governed by quality standards for goods. Aimed at protecting the consumer, obligatory compliance is essential in most export markets and is an effective way to protect against non-compliant imports. However, UK designed and made products often do well around the world, as the standards developed and issued by BSI (British Standards Institute) have been central to many of the EU and other global standards that inform product development and influence international markets. Testing is an intrinsic part of product development, and all responsible manufacturers will secure the correct accreditation in respect of safety, performance and durability.

The design of Venue Tables creates an inherently robust structure and the materials used are all industry standard materials, supplied from responsible sources. However, because the frame has a unique design and assembly, testing by a reputable lab was even more vital. Several good prototypes proved the strength and stability of the design and that the design had many structural and manufacturing benefits. To validate this, we work with SATRA Technologies who are a well respected test facility for many different industries. In November 2021 the first pass certificates were secured for two tables in the range. Tested to BS/EN 15372:2016 Level 2 - (non domestic table), a seated table (74cm high) and a standing table (105cm high) were chosen as the first to be tested as they represent the most typical sizes in the range. Testing confirmed that the frame design is fit for purpose.
